“Will it fit?” is the question behind every furniture purchase and every house move, and the honest answer is that a tape measure alone rarely settles it. A sofa that fits the wall might block the door; a bed that fits the room might leave no space to open the wardrobe. This planner lets you answer the question properly by drawing the room and the furniture together, at the same scale, so you can see the relationships — the walkways, the clearances, the awkward corner — instead of guessing from a list of numbers. You set the room's real dimensions, add each piece of furniture at its real size, then move the pieces around the plan until the layout works.
Start with the room. Most rooms are a plain rectangle, so you enter a length and a width; but real rooms are rarely perfect, so you can also cut a notch out of one corner for a chimney breast, a built-in cupboard or an offset wall, or switch to a round, oval or pie-segment shape for bay windows, turret rooms and curved conservatories. Then build up the furniture. Pick a type — bed, sofa, dining table, wardrobe, desk, armchair, bookshelf and many more come with sensible default sizes — or choose a plain rectangle or circle and type in your own measurements. Set a quantity if you need several matching chairs, give each piece a name, and it appears on the plan as a labelled box you can drag and rotate.
Because the room and every item are drawn in real millimetres and printed at exact physical scale, the plan on paper is a true miniature of the room, and it prints the scale ratio it used (for example 1:50). You can lay a ruler across the print and measure the gap between the bed and the wall, or the width of the walkway past the table, and trust the answer. Keep the faint scale grid switched on to judge distances at a glance, turn on size labels so each piece shows its footprint, and print the legend so you have a tidy list of everything in the room. It is the fast, no-mess alternative to shuffling the real furniture around — plan it on paper first, then move each thing once.

Every sheet is drawn in real millimetres and prints at exact physical scale. For accurate output, set Scale = 100% (Actual size) and Margins = None in your browser's print dialog. Not sure your printer is honest? Run the printer ruler test first to confirm 50 mm really measures 50 mm. Prefer a file? Use the PDF, PNG or SVG buttons to download the sheet instead of printing — PDF and SVG keep the exact dimensions, and PNG is a 300 DPI image.

How do I check if furniture will fit in a room?

How do I add and move furniture?

Drag any piece with the mouse or your finger to reposition it, and use the rotate buttons to turn it so it fits along a wall or into a corner.
Can I use my own furniture measurements?
Yes. Every piece has editable width and depth, and each preset starts from a typical size you can change, so you can enter the exact footprint of your own sofa, bed or table. Choose the plain rectangle or circle type for anything not in the preset list.
Does it show the scale of the plan?
Yes. The room is fitted to the page and the plan prints the scale ratio it used, such as 1:50 — meaning 1 cm on paper is 50 cm in the room. As long as you print at 100% with no margins, the plan is a true scale drawing you can measure with a ruler.
Is this good for planning a house move?
Very. Draw each room, drop in the furniture you already own at its real size, and you can settle before moving day what goes where, whether the sofa clears the doorway, and which pieces simply won't fit — saving you carrying a wardrobe upstairs only to carry it back down.

How do I get an exact-scale print?
Choose your paper size, then in the print dialog set Scale to 100% or “Actual size” and Margins to None. The sheet is defined in real millimetres, so it prints at true size. Use the calibration ruler page to verify.
Which paper sizes are supported?

Can I save it as a PDF instead of printing?
