Retirement Planner Calculator

Free printable retirement planner and calculator — enter your savings, contributions, growth rate and target income to see a projected retirement date, a savings growth graph and a summary you can print. An estimate only, not financial advice.

This retirement planner turns a handful of numbers into a one-page projection: enter your current age, current savings or super balance, how much you contribute and how often, the average annual growth rate you expect, inflation, and the yearly income you want in retirement. It works out the savings pot you’re aiming for from your desired income and a safe withdrawal rate, grows your balance year by year in today’s money, and finds the first year the balance meets the target — reporting the projected retirement age, calendar year and how many years away it is.

The sheet shows a savings-growth graph against your target line, four key figures (target pot, income drawn from savings, yearly contributions and your real growth rate) and a summary of every assumption, then prints at exact scale on A4, Letter or any size. It is a simplified estimation tool for guidance only — not financial advice — and ignores tax, fees, market volatility and personal circumstances, so treat the result as a rough ballpark and speak to a licensed adviser before deciding anything.

Printing at exact scale

Every sheet is drawn in real millimetres and prints at exact physical scale. For accurate output, set Scale = 100% (Actual size) and Margins = None in your browser's print dialog. Not sure your printer is honest? Run the printer ruler test first to confirm 50 mm really measures 50 mm.

Frequently asked questions

Is this financial advice?

No. It is a simplified estimation and education tool only. It ignores tax, fees, market volatility, changing contributions and your personal situation. Always consult a licensed financial adviser before making decisions.

How is the target savings pot worked out?

From your desired yearly income and the safe withdrawal rate. At a 4% withdrawal rate the target is income divided by 0.04, or 25 times income. Any other retirement income such as a pension is subtracted first, lowering the pot you need to build.

Are the figures in today’s money?

Yes. Results are shown in real (today’s) purchasing power, and contributions can be set to keep their value against inflation, so the numbers are easy to relate to now.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every template on printsheet.io is completely free, with no sign-up, no account and no watermark. Generate as many sheets as you like.

How do I get an exact-scale print?

Choose your paper size, then in the print dialog set Scale to 100% or “Actual size” and Margins to None. The sheet is defined in real millimetres, so it prints at true size. Use the calibration ruler page to verify.

Which paper sizes are supported?

A4, A5, A3, A6, US Letter, Legal and Tabloid, in portrait or landscape. Pick the size that matches the paper loaded in your printer.

Can I save it as a PDF instead of printing?

Yes — choose “Save as PDF” as the printer in your browser's print dialog. The PDF keeps the exact millimetre dimensions.
